Knute Buehler hemorrhaging cash in GOP “street fight”
PORTLAND — Knute Buehler’s cash on hand dipped below $1 million Wednesday as he tried to navigate Oregon’s Republican primary, which has turned into an amped up race to the right, with one candidate labeling it “a street fight.”
“Knute Buehler can’t buy his way out of this mess,” said Jeanne Atkins, Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon. “Television ads won’t change his record or the deep divisions caused by the Republican party’s far-right agenda.”
Buehler’s cash on hand has been plunging as he tries to win an increasingly competitive primary race. Buehler “Has Not Performed Up to External Expectations” in the primary and independent observers are increasingly wondering whether Buehler can win.
