Today, the Democratic Party of Oregon is announcing its official positions on all statewide ballot measures for 2016.
Official positions of the Party are made by a voting body comprised of the State Central Committee delegates, alternates, and associates.
When voting to endorse, oppose, or take no position on a statewide ballot initiative, a two-thirds vote for or against a measure is required for the Party to take an official Endorse or Oppose position.
This year, all of the measures on the ballot received a strong, greater than two-thirds majority for an endorsement position, and the Party is taking an official position on every measure.
Frank Dixon, Democratic Party of Oregon Chair, “Each of the Ballot Measures on the 2016 statewide ballot include progressive values that are in line with the Democratic Party of Oregon’s Platform, and will help protect working families, veterans, youth, and seniors across our state.”
