Christine Drazan remains silent on her ties to right-wing extremists. Yesterday, reporting exposed Drazan for accepting $70,000 in campaign contributions from David Gore, “who bankrolled one of the main organizers of the Jan. 6 rally.” The report also detailed Drazan’s links to B.J. Soper, the leader of a far-right militia group linked to the Oath Keepers and Three Percenters. Drazan has featured Soper as a speaker at one of her campaign events.

The Democratic Party of Oregon has called on Drazan to return the contribution from Gore. However, Drazan still won’t acknowledge the cash she took from Gore, who “gave $150,000 to the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund” just one week after the insurrection.

Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Oregon called on Drazan to return the money. She has not responded.

“Oregonians deserve answers on the full extent of Christine Drazan’s extremist ties,” said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair KC Hanson. “Instead of addressing why she’s letting the top financer of the insurrection bankroll her campaign, Drazan is staying silent. Just weeks away from the election, she’s continuing to associate with right-wing militia leaders like B.J. Soper. Her ongoing silence on her far-right backers proves she’s too extreme to be governor.”
