Oregon Democrats gathered at Churchill High School in Eugene this past weekend. In addition to our State Central Committee (SCC) meeting, attendees participated in trainings and caucus meetings, while enjoying a chance to get together and discuss the issues most important to Oregonians.
During the SCC business meeting, delegates endorsed the following 2022 Oregon statewide ballot measures, encouraging Oregonians to vote “Yes” on these measures (Full text of each measure can be found by clicking on the link below.):
- Measure 111: Amends the Oregon Constitution to add that the state “ensure that every resident of Oregon has access to cost-effective, clinically appropriate and affordable health care as a fundamental right”
- Measure 112: Repeals language allowing slavery or involuntary servitude as criminal punishments and authorizes an Oregon court or a probation or parole agency to order alternatives to incarceration for a convicted individual
- Measure 113: Legislators with ten unexcused absences from floor sessions disqualified from holding next term of office
