Portland, OR — Following news today of the passing of legendary labor and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta, Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz released the following statement:
“Oregon Democrats join with people all over the world in mourning the passing of Dolores Huerta. She was an activist, a teacher, a leader, and so much more. Her legacy will live on in Oregon and around the world as those she inspired continue to fight for better working conditions and stronger civil rights protections. She was a true trailblazer, and the world is undeniably a better place as a direct result of the work to which she dedicated her life. May her memory be a blessing. ¡Sí se puede!”
