Portland, OR — Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz issued the following statement in response to the decision by the Supreme Court’s conservative majority allowing the Trump administration to proceed their plan to restrict vote-by-mail:
“Republicans are attacking vote by mail because they are afraid of what happens when voters have their say. They know that there will be a reckoning this November for their reckless governing and failed policies, and they would rather make voting harder than face accountability.
“Oregon Democrats are proud to stand with our Democratic leaders to protect vote by mail, and we will fight like hell to make sure every eligible voter can cast a ballot and have it counted.”
