SD 24 Nominating Election

Below is the timeline and process for Senate District 24 Precinct Committee Persons to choose nominees to send to the Clackamas and Multnomah County Commissioners for consideration to serve out the remainder of Secretary of State-elect Shemia Fagan’s term.

 

Candidate filing to be considered for this appointment is now closed.

Here are the candidates who have filed (listed in alphabetical order by first name):

  • Adrienne Enghouse
  • Candy Emmons
  • Jeff Reardon*
  • Kayse Jama
* Jeff Reardon withdrew his name from consideration for the SD 24 Legislative Vacancy Nomination on Saturday, December 5th.

Here is the timeline for the election:

Monday, Nov. 30th, 2020, 5pm Deadline for Candidates to File for Nomination
Tuesday, Dec. 1st, 2020, 6pm Special Phone Meeting of PCPs to Approve Substitute Rules
Wednesday, Dec. 2nd, 2020 Ballots Mailed to Voters
Monday, Dec. 14th, 2020, 8pm Ballots Due to the Democratic Party of Oregon. Postmarks will not be honored.
Tuesday, Dec. 15th, 2020, 10am Ballots are tabulated, each candidate may have 1 observer present

Democratic Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) from Senate District 24 have selected three candidates for the Clackamas and Multnomah County Commissions to choose from to serve out the remainder of Secretary of State-elect Shemia Fagan’s term.

The candidates, in order of preference, are: Kayse Jama, Adrienne Enghouse, and Candy Emmons. PCPs were required by Oregon statute to select at least three candidates.
