State Central Committee Meeting

• Meeting Access:

• • The SCC Business Meeting will be open to all SCC members. Non-members will be able to view the meeting via a listen/view only livestream.
  • Other meetings and trainings happening throughout the weekend will only be open to those who are able to show proof of vaccination. Upon RSVP you will be given information on how to submit your proof of vaccination in advance to make your check-in process smoother.

• We strongly urge all SCC members to make sure you are fully vaccinated & boosted for COVID-19 before our meeting. We ask delegation chairs to work with your Delegation to ensure members are vaccinated and to coordinate alternates for delegates who are unable to attend as per your County or Caucus Bylaws.
• Consider taking a COVID rapid test before you leave home if you have one available. If you receive a positive Covid test, or if you have any cold- like symptoms (such as cough, fever or chills, shortness of breath, congestion, etc) please do not attend and notify your delegation chair immediately.
• The Democratic Party of Oregon reserves the right to update these protocols at any time based on the best public health guidance.

Travel Grant

In the 2024-2025 Budget, the DPO allocated $4750 in funds to help assist with travel to and from  our Quarterly SCC Meetings to lighten the burden on SCC members and Officers of DPO Caucuses with need. This need-based grant is awarded on financial and distance basis.

Members interested in receiving a grant for the 4th Quarter 2024 SCC Meeting should apply by no later than November 25th!

During our 4th Quarter 2024 SCC Business Meeting, we will elect our DNC Members to serve for the next term, which runs until the 4th Quarter meeting of 2028.

DNC Members have a number of obligations:

• Participate in Quarterly State Central Committee Weekends
• Participate in Quarterly Executive Committee Meetings
• Participate in regular meetings of the DPO Admin Committee
• Attend 2 DNC Meetings each year, held out of state (travel at your own expense, though a small annual travel stipend is available to offset some travel expenses).
• Attend the 2028 Democratic National Convention
• Assist with major DPO Events such as the Wayne Morse Gala and the Oregon Summit
• Help elect Oregon Democrats

If you would like to run, please file below for further information. Filing will close 25 days before the election on November 13th at 5pm. Candidates must file by this deadline to be listed on the ballot and receive access to campaigning resources such as voter lists.

Write-in nominations will be accepted from the floor.
