November 22, 2017
PORTLAND — The State Central Committee of the Democratic Party of Oregon voted overwhelmingly this past weekend on resolutions in support of Health Care for All and Clean Energy Jobs. Over 120 Democrats from all corners of the state participated in the State Central Committee meeting.
“Oregon Democrats are united by many pressing issues of local, regional, and global importance,” said Jeanne Atkins, Chair of the DPO. “We agree overwhelmingly that healthcare is a human right and that climate change is undisputable. These resolutions speak to the values that unite us.”
Complete text of the resolutions is available on the DPO website:
- Resolution 2017-018: Regarding: Comprehensive, Universal Health Care for Oregon

“From the precinct level to the county parties to our governing bodies, the Democratic Party of Oregon is growing and evolving. The level of enthusiasm and engagement is unmatched,” said Atkins. “We are energized by the elections results around the nation earlier this month and are ramping up for the work ahead in 2018 to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.”
