PORTLAND, Oregon (November 8, 2013) –
At the Democratic Party of Oregon's Nominating Convention tonight, Democrats representing precincts in Senate District 23 chose three nominees to submit to the Multnomah County board of commissioners, who will choose one for appointment to the seat of former State Senator Jackie Dingfelder.
The three nominees, ranked in recommended order by the precinct committee persons from Senate District 23 casting votes, are Representative Michael Dembrow, Cheryl Meredith Hall, and Enrique Arias.
Wayne Kinney, Second Vice-Chair and Chair of the Rules Committee, Democratic Party of Oregon, supervised the convention process. The convention was chaired by KC Hanson, former Chair of the Multnomah County Democratic Party, and held at the Multnomah County Democrats office in Portland.
