It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Thorn, Democratic Party of Oregon Vice Chair.
Jill served as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon since 2007. She was also Chair of the Clackamas County Democrats from 2000-2012, and Chair of multiple committees of the state party. She was a member of the City Council and became a three term Mayor of West Linn, Oregon.
Democratic Party of Oregon Chair, Meredith Wood Smith stated, “Jill exemplified what it is to be an active and engaged citizen. She led with quiet strength and heartfelt convictions. The entire Democratic Party, Clackamas County and the community of West Linn will miss Jill’s leadership and participation.”
Jill is survived by her husband Bob, her sons, Richard, Jason, Robert and Christopher.
