Christine Drazan openly admitted she supports GOP Oregon Senate candidate Jo Rae Perkins, a far-right, Q-Anon conspiracy theorist who attended the January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
When asked in an interview if she supported Perkins’ Senate candidacy, Drazan defended Perkins, while dismissing dangerous conspiracy theories as a reason to oppose Perkins, saying, “I’m trying to understand why it is you think I would not support a fellow Republican.” Drazan even doubled down on her support of extreme MAGA Republicans, stating: “I wish all Republican candidates the best in this next election cycle.”
Perkins has vowed her support to President Trump and to Q-Anon. She fully supports the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen. In a now-deleted video, Perkins said, “I stand with President Trump. I stand with Q and the team. Thank you Anons, and thank you patriots.”
“Christine Drazan might try to deceive Oregonians about her far-right stances, but the fact is, she’s just another figurehead of the extreme MAGA GOP,” said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair, KC Hanson, “Just like Jo Rae Perkins and Donald Trump, Drazan is an anti-choice extremist and a puppet of the NRA. Drazan will always stand with her party and their extreme agenda over Oregonians.”
