OREGON Democratic Party of Oregon United has ratified a memorandum of understanding with management, securing raises for permanent workers; guaranteed severance for coordinated workers; additional and expanded sick leave; and a strong hours and schedules policy ahead of the election. The workers are represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

The unit includes both Party and Coordinated staffers across departments at the Party. Workers and management are returning to the table after the election to negotiate a full collective bargaining agreement.

“We’re excited to have swiftly reached agreement on an MOU that ensures we can finish out this election cycle with the rights and dignity we deserve,” said Mario Parker-Milligan, a member of the DPO-U bargaining team. “We look forward to building upon this agreement after the election.”

The Democratic Party of Oregon strongly believes in workers’ rights and unions, is proud to be a union shop and to have reached this important agreement with the Campaign Workers Guild,” said Brad Martin, DPO Executive Director.
