Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Carla “KC” Hanson released the following statement regarding President Biden’s visit to Oregon:
“I’m thrilled to welcome President Biden to Oregon. Thanks to President Biden’s leadership, we now have the tools to repair Oregon’s roads and bridges, connect our rural communities with high-speed internet access, and clean up our drinking water while creating good jobs and providing tens of thousands of Oregonians with access to affordable health care.
“President Biden, backed by Sens. Wyden and Merkley, Gov. Brown and our great Democratic congressional delegation have provided the leadership to rebuild Oregon’s economy with good jobs and a better future.
“Sadly Oregon Republicans like Rep. Bentz have repeatedly turned their backs on Oregon. I’m eager for folks in our state to hear directly from our Commander-in-Chief how Democrats are lowering costs for working families, delivering for our community, and building a better Oregon.”
