Portland, OR – A new report from the Tax Foundation last week found that Trump’s tariffs resulted in a nationwide average tax increase of around $1,000 per household in 2025 and is estimated to increase to $1,300 in 2026.

Trump’s failed tariff plan is raising the cost of living as families across Oregon are struggling to keep up – and not a single Republican candidate for Governor has spoken out. Oregonians deserve to know – do GOP candidates support or oppose Trump’s tariffs?

“The Trump administration continues to claim that prices are down and inflation is dropping, but Oregonians know that’s just not the case,” said DPO Chair Nathan Soltz. “Between tariffs and federal budget cuts, families are experiencing higher costs and expenses for housing, transportation, food, clothing, health care, utilities, and other essentials. They deserve better.”
