Portland, OR — Earlier this week, a bombshell report from the Oregon Capital Chronicle revealed that Republican candidate for governor Christine Drazan funneled nearly $100,000 from her dark money group to a private consulting firm she owns.
Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Oregon called on Drazan to release the names of donors to her dark money group. She has yet to respond publicly to this request.
Today, given her campaign’s failure to provide clarity or transparency on this self-dealing scheme, the Democratic Party of Oregon is calling on Drazan to release a complete list of clients for the Drazan Group LLC.
Christine Drazan must release the full list of clients to her dark-money-funded consulting firm so Oregonians can see exactly who is benefiting from her self-dealing scheme, and whether she was misusing donor funds.
“Christine Drazan funneled nearly $100,000 from a dark money group she controls to her own consulting firm, and Oregonians deserve to know who was paying her and what they expected in return,” said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. “Voters have every right to know whether the interests funding Drazan’s consulting firm overlap with the interests she would serve as governor. She should release the full client list and let Oregonians judge for themselves.”
