Democratic Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) from House District 33 have selected three candidates for the Washington and Multnomah County Commissions to choose from to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Rep. Mitch Greenlick.
The candidates, in order of preference, are: Maxine Dexter, Val Aitchison, and Pamela Kislak. PCPs were required by Oregon statute to select at least three candidates.
Due to social distancing restrictions under COVID-10, the DPO used secure mailed-in paper ballots to conduct the election, in a process approved by the PCPs of HD 33. Roughly half of the 101 eligible precinct committee persons in HD 33 participated in the process. The eventual appointee will serve out the remainder of the term of Rep. Mitch Greenlick, who served the district for 17 years and passed away in May. After winning the May primary election, Maxine Dexter will be the Democratic nominee on the November ballot for HD 33.
